The Houston Zoo is located in Hermann Park adjacent to the Texas Medical Center and the Museum District. We have two entrances:
Our Main Entrance and parking lot is located at:
6200 Hermann Park Drive
Houston, Texas 77030
Our Medical Center Entrance is located on Cambridge Street across from Ben Taub Hospital, and is open only on weekends and major holidays. It provides convenient dropoff, pickup and pedestrian access (There is no parking at this gate).
Exit Hermann Park/Rice U Station (at Fannin and Sunset) or Memorial Hermann Hospital/Houston Zoo Station (on Fannin between Cambridge and Ross Sterling).
A great reason to go green and ride METRO: save $2 off a daytime adult admission and $1 off a daytime child’s admission when you present your Q Card, METRO bus, or METRORail ticket at the Zoo admission booth!
Free parking is available outside the Zoo’s main entrance on Hermann Park Drive. These free parking lots are part of Hermann Park and are not owned or operated by the Zoo.
On busy days, these lots can fill quickly. More parking may be available in other Hermann Park lots.
