Gather your family and join us for a special Día de los Muertos celebration at Houston Zoo. Stroll through the Zoo and enjoy glowing decorations, festive photo ops, plus more!
At the heart of the event is a traditional ofrenda (altar) created to honor animals who are no longer with us. Families are invited to bring a photo of a cherished animal to add to the altar or take home, creating a touching community tribute filled with love and memories.
Stop by our craft station, where kids and adults alike can draw or create artwork of their favorite animal to include. It’s a fun and meaningful way for the whole family to take part in this beautiful tradition.
Don’t forget to see La Catrina, one of the most recognizable symbols of Día de los Muertos. La Catrina will be onsite on Sunday, November 1 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. & 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.
This event is included with general admission and is FREE for members.
