Houston Zoo Ambassador Animal Policy – A comprehensive look at zoo-wide Ambassador Animal processes. This includes a how-to for every ambassador animal as well as temperature guidelines and program policies. Basically everything you would ever want to know!
All overnight staff will be trained and cleared to handle Tier 1 animals within their first season as an overnight guide. All guides must follow proper animal handling protocol and participate in a mandatory refresher course each year.
These are some really great resources, including the ACT training modules Sam Junker has created for volunteers. Enjoy!
