The Prairie Pollinator Pathways

Funded by the Staff Conservation Fund

Mission

The prairie Pollinator Pathways project of the Houston Zoo works with the community to create strategically located gardens that expand and link existing areas of pollinator habitats starting at the campus of the Johnson Space Center.  We increase appreciation of and support for butterflies, bees, hummingbirds, and other animal pollinators to build a fruit and flower-filled future for everyone.

The Details

The Prairie Pollinator Pathways will radiate out from Johnson Space Center, creating a network of gardens connecting existing green spaces.

A team of dedicated volunteers, the Garden Guardians, help maintain the gardens throughout the year.

Public outreach and engagement will involve the community in saving animals in the wild!
