Feast with the Beasts is one of the most anticipated events of the year! All money raised at this event helps us care for the animals that call the Houston Zoo home. Your participation is vital to the continued success of this event, and we could not do it without you.

For the 2019 Feast with the Beasts, we are expecting another sellout crowd of 4,000 attendees! Guests enjoy cuisine from Houston’s best restaurants, beer and wine, and a live concert performance. VIP ticket holders may also take advantage of the exclusive VIP lounge. The event features spectacular animal experiences throughout the evening, so guests may watch the animals dine as they get their own taste of Houston’s best cuisine, provided by YOU!

When and where is this event?
Friday, November 1, 2019, at the Houston Zoo, 1513 Cambridge Street, Houston, Texas
Event time is 6:30 p.m. – 11 p.m. Food will be served from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. only. Please plan to arrive between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to set up your station.
How many sample-size portions need to be provided?
We will have 4,000 attendees this year. Each participating restaurant is asked to provide a minimum of 3,000 sample-size portions of a dish that reflects its signature cuisine.
What is the setup size?
Each restaurant will be given a 10’x10′ tent booth set-up. You will be provided with two 8-ft tables with tablecloth – one table for prep and one for display. You are strongly encouraged to decorate and individualize your booth.
The Zoo provides utensils (forks or spoons), dishware (plates, bowls, and napkins), and access to electrical for every booth, if requested.
Will the Zoo have an on-site kitchen available for use?
We will not have an on-site kitchen available for use. Ice, coolers and sternos will not be provided, but you will be required to keep your food at appropriate temperatures.
How many staff members may each restaurant bring?
You may have a maximum of four people working your station (must be 21 years of age or older). The Houston Zoo will provide volunteers to help answer questions or help with requested (prior to the event) supplies to maintain your station.
Is parking provided?
A maximum of two cars per restaurant will be permitted; parking passes will be provided.
Is this tax-deductible?
All costs may be considered a contribution to the Houston Zoo, Inc. a Section 501(c)(3) corporation. The amount of the contribution that may be deductible for federal income tax purposes is the excess value contributed by the donor over the value of the good and services received.
