Grand Cayman iguanas, also called blue iguanas, are large herbivorous lizards found only on Grand Cayman. They are an example of island gigantism, growing larger than their mainland relatives. While adults have no natural predators, there were fewer than 15 individuals in the wild by 2003 due to habitat loss from converting suitable habitat to pastures for cattle and predation by cats and dogs introduced to the island.
