Zoolates: Pilates at the Zoo

Join us for our first-ever Zoolates class!

This 45-minute, medium-impact workout, led by a certified and experienced Pilates instructor, will focus on controlled movements that promote flexibility, strengthen the core, and improve posture. After class, participants will enjoy an opportunity to feed Galápagos tortoises—one of nature’s gentle, endangered giants.

  • All-day Zoo admission
  • 45-minute indoor Pilates class held in the Galápagos Islands exhibit

What to Expect

  • Check-in begins at 7:15 a.m. at the Zoo’s main entrance; please arrive by 7:30 a.m.
  • Class starts promptly at 7:45 a.m. in front of the One Ocean Aquarium in the Galápagos Islands exhibit
  • Participants must bring a mat, grip socks, water bottle, and towel — equipment will not be provided
  • Grip socks are required to participate and will not be available for purchase on-site
  • Following the class, the group will be escorted to the Galápagos tortoise habitat for the feeding experience
  • Open to participants ages 16 and older
  • Please notify the instructor of any physical limitations before class; modifications will be available
  • Afterward, enjoy the Zoo for the remainder of the day!

Meet the Instructor

Rylan is a classically trained Pilates instructor with over three years of experience. She has completed over 500 hours of observation, practice teaching, self-practice and in-class instruction. Rylan has instructed at Club Pilates and LA Fitness to individuals of all ages, physical abilities, and experience levels.
