Join us at our annual foodie event, Feast with the Beasts presented by TXU Energy on Friday, May 2! Sample local cuisine from a curated list of Houston’s best restaurants while you enjoy drinks, live music across the Zoo, and exciting animal experiences after hours at our culinary event. Feast with the Beasts is a Houston favorite and will sell out fast!

Plus, stop by to meet Houston’s own Chef Tristen Epps. He’s a current contestant on Top Chef: Destination Canada and will be available for a meet-and-greet with Feast guests at 8:15 p.m. He’ll also host a cooking demo in the VIP lounge.

Event Tickets

General Admission – $149
Your ticket includes cuisine from Houston’s best eateries, two free drinks, exciting animal experiences, and access to live music throughout the Zoo. Plus, you can meet Houston’s own Chef Evelyn García, a finalist on season 19 of Bravo TV’s Top Chef where she’ll be hosting a cooking demo at 8:30 p.m. In February 2023, she opened JŪN in The Heights with long-time friend and chef, Henry Lu.  

VIP Admission – $299
Your exclusive VIP pass includes early entry to the event with a special sea lions keeper chat at 6:15 p.m., access to the VIP lounge with select culinary offerings, complimentary adult beverages including an exclusive premium wine selection, animal encounters, live music, and more.

Plus, Houston-based Chef Tristen Epps, a current contestant on Top Chef: Destination Canada, will be doing a cooking demo for our VIP pass holders. Chef Tristen will also have a meet-and-greet at the Karamu Outpost across from Trading Post at 8:15 p.m. for all Feast attendees.

Tickets are for guests 21+ only. IDs will be checked at the gate. Tickets will not be sold at the gate. Feast is a cashless event.

What does the general admission ticket include?

Your general admission ticket will allow you to enjoy sample-size food from any or all of the participating restaurants, two free drinks (beer/wine), exciting animal experiences, and access to live music across the Zoo. Additional beverages can be purchased.

In addition, we’ll have the following available as part of your general admission ticket:

  • Access to TXU Energy presents Jurassic Giants
  • Photo booth van
  • Carousel rides

What is the VIP experience?

The VIP experience will allow you to enter the Zoo 30 minutes early and be among the first to experience Feast with the Beasts! Your VIP ticket also grants you access into the VIP lounge, where you can enjoy complimentary adult beverages including an exclusive premium wine selection, live music, meet and greets with ambassador animals from 7:00-8:00 p.m., 360 photo booth, live screen printing on complimentary hats, and more.

Plus, Houston-based Chef Tristen Epps, a current contestant on Top Chef: Destination Canada, will be doing a cooking demo for our VIP pass holders.

Non-alcoholic beverages, including soda and water, will also be available.

What animal experiences will be available?

Don’t miss our featured VIP Meet the Keeper Chat at 6:15 p.m. at the Sea Lion Amphitheatre.

Mingle with our zookeepers until 8:30 p.m. and see animal feedings including:

  • Amur leopard
  • Komodo dragon next to black bears
  • Asian elephants
  • Jellyfish inside of Galapagos Islands
  • Masai giraffes
  • And more!

Is the event only open to guests 21 and up?

Yes, Feast with the Beasts is an adults-only event for guests 21 and up. No babies or children are allowed. Guests without a valid photo ID will not be permitted to enter.

Where can I park?

Our main parking lot is located at 6200 Hermann Park Drive, and parking will be available throughout the Hermann Park parking areas. We also encourage using rideshare services.

What is the dress code?

Guests usually dress casually since you will be outside and walking.

Will cash be accepted at the bars?

Cash is not accepted at Feast with the Beasts.

What if I have to cancel prior to the event?

We’re sorry, but payment for this event is non-refundable.

What if it rains?

This event is rain or shine. There will be a few animal buildings open, but most of the event is outdoors.

Is smoking permitted?

No, smoking is not permitted at the Zoo.
