Engaging Schools in Conservation Solutions
Saturday, November 10
9:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m.
Ideal for 3rd – 12th Grade Educators

Champion conservation solutions within your classroom, school and community!  Join us to learn about becoming an environmental steward, learn about conservation opportunities in our local community, and discover how Houston Zoo partners from around the world impact their own communities.  Investigate environmental stewardship and how Houston Zoo partners from around the world impact their community through conservation opportunities and solutions. Consider local and global conservation issues affecting wildlife and practice incorporating STEM principles into a classroom project that empowers their students to be wildlife advocates.

Educators Night Out

Spotlighting: Texas Wildlife
Thursday, October 18
6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Ideal for All Grade Levels

What do Houston toads, Attwater’s prairie chickens, and black bears have in common?  They are all part of our diverse Texas wildlife and the Zoo works with other organizations to help save them in the wild. Join us for a one of a kind evening to learn about local wildlife, participate in hands-on, STEAM activities, and learn how you and your students can help these animals in the wild.
