What’s With the White Stickers?

Over the next few days, you might see white stickers all around the acrylic glass in our Galápagos Islands sea lion habitat. They are put up by our animal care team to help our dominant male sea lion, Jonah, understand that the acrylic is there! Our sea lions have never swam with acrylic, so they need to understand that it’s a wall they can’t swim through. The other eight California sea lions got to learn all about acrylic before we opened, and now it’s Jonah’s turn! Thanks for being patient while Jonah gets comfortable in his enormous new home.
