Houston Zoo Teens Head to Belize
The Houston Zoo is one of four recipients of the 2026 Wild Futures Grant Program, a pilot initiative from Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom and the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). Each recipient receives $10,000 to fund youth conservation education.
The Houston Zoo’s grant supports the Teen International Travel program. Zoo Crew members work alongside the Zoo’s global conservation partners in the field, and in March 2027, that takes them to Belize.
Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom has been on television since 1963. The Wild Futures Grant Program is where that history meets the next generation of conservationists.
