One of the most magnificent settings in the zoo, the Reflection Pool's elegant and romantic setting makes for an unforgettable wedding. Say your vows at the top of the steps while standing under 50 year old arching oak trees that make this backdrop the place to get married.

Consider the Natural Encounters building as the perfect setting for a reception with a lush rainforest and cascading waterfalls and built-in bar. Your guests will undoubtedly enjoy the antics of the many nocturnal animal species that dwell inside this building.

For smaller receptions the Aquarium located just steps inside the entrance to the zoo will immerse your guests in a tranquil underwater world.

 

 

 

 

“My husband and I were originally supposed to get married December 12, 2009. Due to the military assigning him orders to leave to Iraq our wedding date was moved up four months in advance. With all the stress of having to move up the wedding and no ceremony location, we turned to the Houston Zoo. They were able to accommodate our event with only a months notice. The Houston Zoo & Arabella made the planning for the site a breeze. The staff was excellent to work with and helped make everything as beautiful and easy as possible. I was so excited to see the outcome of the event and having it at the Houston Zoo was one thing my husband and I will never forget.
