Guests may enter the Zoo as early as 2:00 p.m. to enjoy the Zoo before the Family Movie Night activities begin at 5:30 p.m. You are welcome to bring your own lawn chairs and blankets for the movie showing.
Ticket Pricing:
Adult: $39 per person
Child: $29 per person
Members can save $10 on adult tickets and $5 on child tickets.

Bring your family to Houston Zoo for an evening under the stars for our first-ever Family Movie Night. We’ll be screening the animated film, “How To Train Your Dragon.” Admission includes early Zoo access starting at 2:00 p.m., pre-movie activities, and access to TXU Energy presents Mythical Realms.
Event Schedule
- 5:30 p.m. Character meet-and-greet with Hiccup and Astrid who will lead a “dragon training” activity featuring Blaze the Dragon
- 6:10 p.m. Meet the Keeper Chat at Komodo dragon
- 6:30 p.m. Movie Screening Begins
Movie screening guests will also have access to TXU Energy presents Mythical Realms and Kathrine G. McGovern Texas Wetlands until 8:00 p.m.
