Event Details

It’s the craft brewery event you know and love, plus a few new surprises for 2021.

  • Texas Beer Tasting
    It’s an all-Texas Brew at the Zoo! Enjoy beer tastings from some of Houston’s most popular breweries. Check out the participating brewery offerings in our FAQ!
  • Live Music
    Enjoy the live band at the reflection pool and the DJ in the Game Room.
  • Games and Activities
    Stop by the Game Room to play some favorites like skee-ball, electronic darts, foosball, and pool. Take a photo in the photo booth or have a one of our caricature artists capture the moment with your friends. You can also make-your-own-license plate and take a spin on the carousel! Before you go, don’t miss the live ice carving experience at 9:00 p.m.
  • Animals
    Enjoy the Zoo after hours! See the new baby elephants, stop by the giraffe feeding platform to feed a giraffe, catch one of the special keeper talks, visit the Reptile House and Natural Encounters Building, and more! (Giraffe feeding tickets will be available for purchase on-site.)

Texas Beer Pass
Includes an event pass, an 8 oz. commemorative souvenir cup, and six 4 oz. beer samplings from any of the breweries. Additional sample cards and full pours will be available for purchase on-site with a credit card only. Tastings can also be used toward hard seltzer, ranch water, and cider.

Event Pass Only
Designated driver, or just not a fan of beer? We still want you to join the fun! This ticket does not come with beer samples or a souvenir mug but does allow you full access to live music, arcade games, evening animal viewings, and more!

Ice Mug
Add a carved ice mug to your ticket! These are drinking mugs made of solid ice to keep your beer ice cold. Available for pre-order only at the time of ticket purchase online. Limited quantities available.

Adults 21+ only. No one under 21 will be permitted to attend the event. Last entry at 8:00 p.m. Last call at 9:30 p.m.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is this only open to guests 21 and up?

Yes, Brew at the Zoo is an adults-only event for guests 21 and up. No babies or children are allowed. Guests without a valid photo ID will not be permitted to enter.

Which breweries will be participating?

  • Saint Arnold Brewing Company: Art Car IPA, H-Towl Pils, Oktoberfest, H-Town Pils, Harmony pale ale, and Original Dry Cider
  • 8th Wonder Brewery: Dome Faux’m, Watermelon Haterade, TEX blonde ale, and High Grade IPA
  • Eureka Heights Brew Co: Buckle Bunny, Fizzy Pants Watermelon hard seltzer, Wow Factor, and Mini Boss
  • No Label Brewery: 1980 Kölsch, El Hefe, Brew of H pale ale, and Sittin’ Sidehaze
  • Karbach Brewing Co: Love Street Light, Ranch Water Original and Grapefruit, and Light Circus
  • Spindletap Brewery: Houston Haze IPA, Heavy Hands IPA, Calavera Lager, and Hop Gusher IPA

Is the event only limited to beer?

No, additional food and beverages will be available for purchase. Other beverages include canned wines and hard seltzers at the concession locations, plus several breweries are bringing ranch water and ciders as alternative options to beer.

If you purchase the Texas Beer Pass, tastings can also be used toward hard seltzer, ranch water, and cider.

What food options will be available?

There will be plenty of food options available during Brew at the Zoo, including our full menu from Cypress Circle Cafe, as well as our food trucks and kiosks around the Zoo. Place your order online ahead of time from Cypress Circle.

Will there be keeper chats?

Yes, you can view the Keeper Talks presented by Phillips 66 schedule below.

7:00 p.m. – Sea lions
7:30 p.m. – Green-winged macaw at Natural Encounters
8:00 p.m. – Malayan tiger
8:30 p.m. – African painted dogs

Where should I park?

Our main parking lot is located at 6200 Hermann Park Drive, and parking will be available throughout the Hermann Park parking areas.

What happens if it rains?

This event is rain or shine. There are no refunds.

Is smoking permitted

No, smoking is not permitted at the Zoo.
