Be Kind to Bugs Weekend at Houston Zoo

Event Details

Join us for Be Kind to Bugs Weekend on Saturday, July 18, and Sunday, July 19, led by our Herpetology & Entomology teams, and discover the incredible world of bugs through hands-on activities, keeper chats, and conservation experiences for all ages.

Bugs play an essential role in healthy ecosystems, helping pollinate plants, enrich soil, and support the food systems we all depend on. During this special weekend, you’ll learn why these tiny animals matter and how simple actions, like planting native milkweed, can help protect local wildlife.
