During Community Heroes Appreciation Days, eligible first responders, healthcare professionals, and educators:

Receive FREE Zoo admission with valid proof of employment.
Eligible professionals will receive one free admission and may purchase up to 4 additional admissions at a discounted rate of just $25 each.
Valid proof of employment or professional ID must be presented upon entry.

Houston Zoo Community Heroes Days offer FREE Zoo admission to eligible first responders, healthcare professionals, and educators on their designated appreciation dates. Guests must present valid proof of employment or a professional ID upon entry to receive their free ticket.

Who qualifies for Houston Zoo FREE tickets as a first responder?

Eligible first responders include firefighters, dispatchers, law enforcement officers, and emergency medical services (EMS) personnel, including EMTs and paramedics. Present a valid employee or professional ID to receive your FREE Houston Zoo admission on First Responder Appreciation Days.

Who qualifies for Houston Zoo FREE tickets as a healthcare professional?

Healthcare professionals who provide patient care or support healthcare services are eligible. This includes doctors, nurses, medical assistants, therapists, technicians, pharmacists, dentists, hospital staff, clinic staff, and administrative professionals working in healthcare settings. Valid proof of employment or a professional ID is required for FREE Houston Zoo admission.

Who qualifies for Houston Zoo FREE tickets as an educator?

Educators who teach or support student learning are eligible for FREE admission to the Houston Zoo. This includes classroom teachers, school administrators, school support staff, childcare and early childhood educators, college and university faculty, and homeschool educators. Please bring valid proof of employment or educator status.

What proof do I need to receive FREE admission to Houston Zoo?

Eligible guests must present a valid employee ID, professional ID, school ID, or other proof of employment upon entry. The eligible professional must be present to redeem their FREE Houston Zoo ticket and discounted tickets for their party.

Can someone else use my discounted tickets?

Free admission to the Zoo is only valid for eligible professionals! However, each eligible professional may purchase up to four additional Houston Zoo admission tickets for $25 each for friends or family on their designated Community Heroes Day.

Can I combine this offer with other Houston Zoo discounts?

No. Community Heroes Days FREE Houston Zoo tickets and discounted admission offers cannot be combined with other discounts, promotions, or special offers. However, you can enhance your visit to the Zoo with our offerings, such as tickets to TXU presents Mythical Realms, the carousel, and more.
