Brew at the Zoo presented by TXU Energy is more than a night of brews. It is a chance to experience Houston Zoo after hours, see amazing animals, enjoy lawn games and carousel rides, and take part in a one-of-a-kind 21+ evening that stands apart from the usual night out. Every ticket helps support Houston Zoo’s efforts to save wildlife in Texas and around the world. 

Adults 21+ only. No one under 21 will be permitted to attend the event. Last entry at 8:30 p.m. Last call at 9:30 p.m.

Bring your friends, enjoy beer, and explore a wild night at Houston Zoo. Plus, don’t miss out on the following:

  • Live music at Reflection Pool and Masihara Pavilion
  • Challenge your friends to giant beer pong and other lawn games
  • Take a spin on the Wildlife Carousel with free rides throughout the evening
  • Free face painting for you and your friends
  • Snap a photo in the photobooth at Masihara Pavilion
  • Meet the Keeper Chats
  • All games and activities are FREE with admission.

Your VIP Pass unlocks all the perks of our Beer Pass, plus:

  • Early entry to the event. Party as early as 6:00 p.m.
  • Exclusive Meet the Keeper Chat at 6:15 p.m. at the sea lion habitat.
  • Dedicated VIP lines at each bar.
  • Access to the VIP lounge with exclusive light bites, complimentary beer & wine, photobooth, and live music from Darian Hernandez in our (air-conditioned!) McGovern Reflections Event Hall and Terrace overlooking the Reflection Pool.

Beer Pass - $54.95

Your ticket includes:

  • Event pass
  • A commemorative souvenir cup
  • Six 4 oz. beer samplings from any of the breweries.

Additional sample cards and drink tickets will be available for purchase on-site with a credit card only. Select breweries will have beer, ready-made canned cocktails, hard seltzers, and cider available for tasting.

Designated driver? No problem! The Event Pass gives you access to Brew at the Zoo after hours, including live music, animal experiences, games, and activities.

Is this only open to guests 21 and up?

Yes, Brew at the Zoo is an adults-only event for guests 21 and up. No babies or children are allowed. Guests without a valid photo ID will not be permitted to enter.

Is the event only limited to beer?

No, additional food and beverages will be available for purchase. Other beverages include canned wines and hard seltzers at the concession locations, plus several breweries are bringing canned cocktails, hard seltzers, and cider as alternative options to beer.

If you purchase the Beer Pass, tastings can also be used toward the other beverage options available at each brewery.

What does the VIP pass include?

What food options will be available?

There will be plenty of food options available during Brew at the Zoo, including from Jack’s Cafe and Cypress Circle Café, as well as our food kiosks around the Zoo. Place your order online ahead of time from Cypress Circle.

Note: Outside food and beverage is not permitted at this event.

No, outside food and beverage is not permitted at Brew at the Zoo.

Where should I park?

Free parking is available in Hermann Park near the Zoo’s Main Entrance at 6200 Hermann Park Drive. There are also a few parking alternatives, including rideshare or taking the METRORail. Please note, that our Medical Center entrance will not be open.

What happens if it rains?

This event is rain or shine. There are no refunds.

Is smoking permitted

No, smoking is not permitted at the Zoo.
