3. Parking made easy 🚘
Spring Break is one of the busiest — and most exciting — times at the Houston Zoo and around Hermann Park. Let’s make getting here the easiest part of your day.
To help you navigate increased traffic, get an early start and check out our recommended parking options, including carpooling, rideshare, and the METRORail. To get to Houston Zoo from the METRORail, you’ll ride the Red Line and exit Memorial Hermann Hospital/Houston Zoo, and walk through the Commons in Hermann Park to get to the Zoo. This is an estimated 10-minute walk to the Zoo from this METRORail stop.. You can also park inside the 6400 Fannin parking garage that’s located near the Zoo!
4. There’s something fun for everyone 🐾
No matter how big or small, we have something for everyone to enjoy at Houston Zoo! Feed our Masai giraffes romaine lettuce daily at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., book a unique Animal Encounter experience, or check out our daily schedule to catch a Meet the Keeper Chat sponsored by CenterPoint Energy Foundation.
5. Yes, you can bring your own food! 🍔
We welcome you to bring your own outside food and drinks, except alcohol and glass. Make sure to bring your reusable water bottle to help save animals in the wild! There are also several food and beverage locations available throughout the Zoo including Jack’s Café, Cypress Circle, Twiga Café, and other kiosks.
Skip the line and order your food online! You can order your food online for quick and easy pick-up at Cypress Circle Café.
6. Use our Interactive Zoo Map 📍
View our real-time Meet the Keeper Chats sponsored by CenterPoint Energy Foundation, navigate the Zoo, and see a directory list of all Zoo areas with our interactive map. You can also take a screenshot of our Zoo map online or at one of our Plan Your Day kiosks. By going digital, you’re helping save black bears in the wild.
7. Visit the Zoo Store 🛍️
Find the perfect gift or souvenir at our Zoo Store during your next Zoo visit! We have your favorite Houston Zoo swag, reusable bags, toys for toddlers, and more.
8. Make the most of a rainy Zoo day 🌧️
