Members, we want to hear from you! Starting in August, participate in our social media giveaway by sharing a recent Zoo memory on Facebook or Instagram. Four lucky winners in August will win a Houston Zoo prize pack for sharing their story and be featured on our Fan Friday social media posts. Prize packs may include a reusable tote bag, giraffe feeding tickets, and more.

Recycle Your Electronics

This month, we’re doing a weekly animal painting giveaway for members who bring in old electronics to recycle! You can drop them off at the Member Service window at the front of the Zoo. A winner will be selected every Friday and notified by the Membership team. 1 entry counts per device; multiple devices are welcome.

By recycling your electronics, you’re helping to reduce mining in vital habitats, protecting animals like gorillas, okapis, and jaguars. Together, we can save wildlife for future generations! See what you can donate here.

Do I need to reserve a ticket for my friend to come with me?

Week of August 1-7

You can bring one extra friend that is not usually covered by your membership level. Simply tell our Admissions staff you are bringing your friend with you while they are scanning your membership card at the gate.

How do I get unlimited rides on the Wildlife Carousel?

Week of August 8-14

You will need to present your proof of membership through your membership card to get unlimited rides on the Wildlife Carousel.

How do I get free access to TXU Energy presents Jurassic Giants?

Week of August 15-21:

You will need to present your proof of membership through your membership card to get unlimited walks through TXU Energy presents Jurassic Giants.

How do I get a free conservation bracelet?

Week of August 22-31

The first 100 members to visit our Wildlife Workshop, near the Bug House and John P. McGovern Children’s Zoo, will receive a free conservation bracelet. You will need to present your proof of membership to receive it.

Note: The Wildlife Workshop opens at 10:00 a.m.

How can I access my membership card?

You may access your digital membership card by logging into our Membership Portal. We are no longer printing membership cards. Upon arrival at the Zoo, you will enter through our Member Entrance and present your digital membership card.
