This summer, explore the Houston Zoo’s special exhibit – Nature Connects®: Art with LEGO® Bricks Presented by Coca-Cola!
See some of your favorite animals unlike ever before, built with tens of thousands of LEGO bricks!

Extended Through October 1

As you stroll through Nature Connects, you’ll be amazed at the size and detail of these giant sculptures lining the path. These sculptures, featuring more than 770,000 LEGO bricks, took more than 6,500 hours to build by hand! Each sculpture was inspired by nature and teaches guests the important connections seen throughout nature, and how we all can save these species in the wild.

Bright, lush plants and trees add beauty and tranquility to this unique sculpture garden. Search for the pollinator-friendly plants throughout the garden and learn how you can protect pollinators, like butterflies, bees and hummingbirds, in your own backyard.  You can also take in the beautiful scenery on park benches located along the winding path.

About the Artist

Artist Sean Kenney is a renowned, award-winning artist and “professional kid” who uses LEGO pieces to design and create contemporary sculpture for high-profile clients, major corporations, and venues around the globe for more than a decade.

“I hope that you can look at Nature Connects and appreciate both nature and the sculptures as something beautiful, and I also hope you’re inspired to go home and create something wonderful yourself.”

Sean Kenney

Just as LEGO pieces interconnect, everything in nature is interconnected in a delicate balance. Insects and plants have important relationships; different species of animals have special relationships with each other; animals have connections with their families just like we do.
