Each experience takes place at various parks and nature centers around Houston and is a great chance to find a new hangout for your herd. Meet like minded families and know that you’re providing your kids meaningful opportunities for exploration and play.
Upcoming Family Nature Programs
November 16 - Elizabeth Baldwin Park
Come explore a piece of Houston history! This 5-acre park in the heart of Midtown boasts 100-year-old oak trees begging to be climbed and iconic Houston street art right across the road. We will spend some time practicing our climbing as well as honing our art skills, all while enjoying the beauty of nature in the city.
When: 11:00am – 1:00pm

Who: All ages welcome!

Essentials: Water for each person, sunscreen, bug spray, and appropriate clothing & shoes
Extras – Some nature exploration items will be provided by the Houston Zoo for each program depending on location and activities involved. Families are welcome to bring their own nature investigation gear, including:
- Nature Journal & Pens
- Field Identification Guides
- Exploration Items (i.e. magnifying glass, insect net, bug box)
