Texas Native Species Day

On Saturday, May 6, join us for Texas Native Species Day! We’ll have Meet the Keeper Talks presented by Phillips 66 and enrichment with animals native to Texas. Local residents can help protect these native species by recycling paper and buying post-consumer recycled content paper products.

Zoo Crew teens will also be stationed at black bears and whooping cranes to discuss ways you can help save these native species.

This event is included with general admission and free for members.

8:30 a.m. – Cougar Training (Member Morning)
10:00 a.m. – American Alligator
11:00 a.m. – Whooping Crane
11:30 a.m. – Ocelot Enrichment
12:30 p.m. – Ambassador Animal behind Cypress Circle Cafe
1:30 p.m. – Jaguar bone-in meat dive in South America’s Pantanal
