Snake Festival at the Zoo

Saturday, Jan. 28, 10:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Event Details

Join us on Saturday, January 28, for our Snake Festival, which also happens to be Rattlesnake Appreciation Day! Our year-round Zoo Crew teens on the Snake-Saving Campaign Committee will be hosting this event to celebrate Texas native snakes, dispel myths about snakes, promote snakebite prevention, and to help our guest build empathy for snakes.

This event is included with general admission and free for members.

Event Highlights

There will be interactive activities and games for all ages inside of and near the Reptile & Amphibian House. Join us for special Meet the Keeper Talks presented by Phillips 66 and ambassador snakes will be available to teach guests about snakes and the importance of their role in our environment. The Snake Festival will conclude with a Rattlesnake Appreciation Parade around the Reflection Pond.
