Shasta Guards the University of Houston Rings

As the spring semester comes to an end, our friends at the University of Houston are preparing for their graduation ceremonies. Part of this celebration includes Shasta guarding the rings of those graduating this semester.

This Event Has Passed Thursday, May 2, 2019, 9:02 a.m to 7:02 p.m

On Thursday, May 2, all the rings for the semester graduates will be placed in a large UH-themed box which will be in the cougar habitat all day. The carnivore team will host Meet the Keeper Talks Presented by Phillips 66 and training demonstrations at the cougar habitat at 9:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 2:30 p.m. to celebrate this special day.

University of Houston students also receive free general daytime admission to the Zoo every day, simply by showing their valid UH student ID.
