The Houston Zoo’s most popular adults only event, Feast with the Beasts has been one of the city’s most anticipated parties for animal and culinary lovers alike for 14 years. After careful consideration, we have decided this year’s Feast with the Beasts will not go on. Due to the state of the global COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the choice to cancel the beloved event for 2020. While the Zoo has enlisted state, local and CDC recommended protocols to ensure a day at the Houston Zoo is as safe as possible, the nature of this specific event makes it harder to guarantee social distancing. At its core, Feast with the Beasts is a place where people gather, either while sampling from Houston’s hottest restaurants or jamming out to an amazing band.
We realize this is disappointing news to everyone who looks forward to this annual tradition, and it saddens us as well. 2021 plans are already underway, and we eagerly anticipate bringing this cherished tradition back better than ever next year.
The Zoo reopened to the public on June 3, and just by visiting you’re helping support your Houston Zoo during this tumultuous time. We’ve also established an Emergency Fund to assist in the financial shortfalls from being closed for three months. Learn more or buy tickets at houstonzoo.org.
