On Wednesday, April 28, 2021, the Houston Zoo will be having a special Facebook Live featuring the University of Houston’s own mascot, Shasta! Tune in on our Facebook page at 11:00 a.m. and ask our keepers any questions you have about cougars in the comments.
Current University of Houston students receive free daytime general Zoo admission (with valid I.D.) all yearlong. On Friday, April 30th, UH students can visit the Zoo and see their class rings being guarded by Shasta during this one-of-kind experience with their favorite Coog.
