About the Symposium
The North American EEHV Advisory Group is hosting a three-day virtual symposium on elephant endotheliotropic herpesvirus (EEHV). EEHV continues to impact both Asian and African elephants in the wild and now, increasingly, elephants, in human care. The extent of its impact on the wild populations is just starting to be elucidated.

We look forward to including researchers, veterinarians, and elephant husbandry colleagues from across the world to participate in what we hope will be a global symposium to present case reports, research findings, vaccine research, treatments, and advisory/working group updates. We will also be organizing regional breakout sessions as well as panel discussions on treatment and husbandry/training.
