Lion Fun Days

Lion Fun Days includes meet the Keeper Talks, crafts, and games for children of all ages. The population of African lions is falling at an alarming rate, with an estimated 20,000 to 30,000 lions left in all of Africa. Field researchers and conservationists believe the decline can be slowed and eventually reversed through community outreach and education.

In addition to promoting education about lions and how to aid in their conservation, the carnivore staff will be expanding our chats and games to include carnivores right here in the United States. We’ll highlight animals such as cougars, black bears, native snakes, and raccoons, and provide our guests with all of the tips and tools they need to live in harmony with native carnivores.
