Lion Fun Days originated in the Niassa Reserve Mozambique as a part of the educational outreach program of the Niassa Lion Project. Around this time of year, 300+ children and their families in Mbamba village in northern Mozambique participate in Lion Fun Days as well! Mozambican children will play the same games and hear the same information as the children at the Houston Zoo. The partnership between the Houston Zoo and the Niassa Lion Project gets children inspired to participate in conservation.

This free event is included with your paid Zoo admission and is free for Zoo members.
