Come experience the Zoo after dark and spend the night in our Brown Education Center! Choose from a variety of themed offerings that include guided night hikes through the Zoo, animal meet and greets, and educational activities.

Zoo Overnight: Animal Architects

Have you ever been curious about where animals live and build their homes? Join us as we hike around the Zoo looking for their construction zones! We’ll explore how native wildlife thrive by observing structures such as nests, ant colonies, and spider webs. Discover how Zoo architects create special habitats for each of our animals and use these ideas to create your own animal architecture or bio-inspired designs!

Evening snack, a light breakfast, and next-day admission are included. We will be camping indoors in our Brown Education Center!

Zoo Sprouts! Cool Cats – For 18-23 Months

Saturday, August 11, 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.

Did you know some cats LOVE the water? Here at the Houston Zoo, our tigers enjoy taking a dip to cool off from the summer heat. Catch up with other Sprouts as we check out whether Satu the tiger is enjoying her time in the moat.

This hour is for kids age 18-23 months; check the Zoo Sprouts page for other Zoo Sprouts!
