World Giraffe Day

June 24, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the giraffe habitat
Special Giraffe Keeper Talks at 10:30 and 1:30

Celebrate giraffes and learn more about these long-necked giants as we enjoy the longest days of the year. We’ll have giraffe-themed activities, opportunities to meet the giraffe keepers, and the chance to purchase some exclusive animal souvenirs.

Populations of giraffes in the wild have declined 40% within the last 15 years. They have already gone extinct in seven different African countries. Find out how you can help protect their habitat and reverse that trend!

This free event is included with your paid Zoo admission and is free for zoo members.

NE building closing

Thursday, June 22, Natural Encounters will close early at 2:30 for a private event.

Chimps off exhibit

Tue – Wed, June 20-21, chimpanzees will be off exhibit while we perform maintenance on their habitat.
