Calling all magicians! From the color changing chameleon to the glowing firefly, your camper will meet the magicians and illusionists of the animal kingdom and learn the secrets behind their fantastic feats of magic.

Has your camper dreamed of producing a video blog? Here is their chance to practice and hone their skills. Campers will use Houston Zoo equipment to creat their own video blog (vlog) as they explore the Zoo in this technology-driven camp.

Stories aren’t just for kids, storytelling plays an exciting and important role in our relationship with wildlife. Your camper will explore a day in the life of many types of wildlife storytellers including conservation photographers, field journalists, myth makers, and more!

The Zoo is home to over 6,000 animals, all looking for a meal. Join us as we dive in to all aspects of animal nutrition, from food prep and harvesting to enrichment, training, and more!
*Camps offered over the week of July 4 (Week 5)will not have camp on Wednesday. Camp will be offered as two discounted sessions, each offering different experiences and activities. In order to register for the entire week of camp, please make sure both date ranges (the 2-3 and the 5-6) are added to your cart.
Costs per week
- Full Week – $300
- Week 5 – $150
Every camp week will include touchable animal experiences, visits to several sections of the Zoo, giraffe feeding, and a carousel ride. Activities and games are tied to the theme for the week and will be different for each camp theme.
