Houston’s largest family-friendly Halloween event is back and better than ever! We’re inviting all little ghouls and goblins to celebrate Halloween at the Houston Zoo with activities that are fun for the whole family. We encourage all kids to come dressed in their spookiest or prettiest Halloween costume!
There are nine days of Zoo Boo fun this year!
Please note that there is no Zoo Boo on October 31.

Festival of Fun
Enjoy a fall-festival experience with a giant jack-o-lantern maze (ages 6 and up) and carnival-style games.
Zoe the Zookeeper’s Howlerween Adventure
Help Zoe the Zookeeper release sea turtles, Attwater’s prairie chickens, howler monkeys and Houston toads back to their natural habitat. Learn all about how YOU can help these wonderful animals in the wild!
Are you brave enough to feel what’s inside? Learn interesting animal facts as you guess what’s inside the mystery box!
Living Pumpkin Patch
Stop by and say “hi” to our living pumpkin family, and hear them say “hi” back!

It’s a Zoo Boo Halloween bash just for kids!
There’s no separate ticket for Zoo Boo; all Zoo Boo activities are included with your paid Zoo admission.
Zoo Boo is FREE for Zoo Members! Membership pays for itself in as few as two visits, and members can visit the zoo as often as they like throughout the year. Find out more:
Not a Zoo member? Purchase your Zoo admission tickets now (valid for 90 days) and skip the ticket lines.
Zoo Boo is a family-friendly event, and all costumes must be appropriate for ghouls of all ages. Adults are welcome to come in costume, but must leave their face clearly visible at all times; adults in heavy makeup or masks will not be allowed into the Zoo.

The Houston Zoo cannot hold any items for guests at the Guest Relations Office. Please leave all unsecured or restricted items in your personal vehicle or at home.
