Old Las Vegas in the naturally wild setting of the African Forest!
Proceeds from the event benefit the Houston Zoo, providing money for habitat enhancements and expansions, animal and veterinary care, educational and outreach programs and general Zoo support.
ABOUT ZOO BALL 2012
Every other year, Zoo Friends of Houston, Inc. hosts the always popular Zoo Ball to raise funds for broad support of the Houston Zoo.Zoo Ball 2012: Viva! Zoo Vegas! will immerse you in the glamour of Old Las Vegas when for one night only, Masahari Pavilion will be transformed into “The Flamingo Nightclub”. The evening includes a special dinner performance by Gary Anthony from the popular Las Vegas show, “The Rat Pack is Back”, singing the timeless classics of Frank Sinatra, followed by the groovy big band dance sounds of Houston’s own Mambo Jazz Kings. There will be appearances by Las Vegas showgirls, casino gaming, live animal encounters, live and silent auctions and a raffle filled with unique items only available at the Zoo!
