Water Playground
One of the Houston Zoo’s most popular features, the Water Play Area at the McGovern Children’s Zoo will be closed this summer to make way for a bigger and better experience for our guests.
State regulations governing the operation of water play grounds have been revised, so we’re taking advantage of the change to make improvements and create an entirely new experience.
The site of the Water Play Area will move from its present location near the Children’s Zoo’s Red Pavilion to an area near the Zoo’s Medical Center Gate.
Construction of the new water playground will begin this summer.
Check back often for updates as the new and better water playground takes shape in its new location.
