Doze with the Dinosaurs this Summer!
Summer overnights at the Houston Zoo are chock full of fun and adventure this summer!
There aren't any dinosaurs today, but there are animals at the Zoo that have things in common with these prehistoric creatures.
The Dinosaurs are invading this summer only– you don’t want to miss this!
Wild Winks is a program designed for groups with children age 7 to 12 years of age and their chaperones and are perfect summer time fun outing for scouts.
- The capacity for an overnight is 60 people.
- Each overnight will consist of multible scout groups.
- You will sleep in the air conditioned Brown Education Building.
Cost: $45 per person
Special overnight dates just for Scouts!
These overnights are just the same as the Doze with the Dinosaurs. They are just reserved for scout groups only.

Registration and payment must be received at least three weeks in advance of the program. We do not offer group rates for the Wild Winks program. Scout Day is every day at the Houston Zoo!
Whether your group is interested in
spending an hour, a day, an evening or even overnight at the Zoo, there is plenty to see and a great deal to do! You may complete most or all of the necessary requirements during our Scout badge/achievement workshops that take place during weeknights and weekend days.
An overnight Wild Winks experience includes additional opportunities to enjoy the Zoo during nighttime as well as during the day. More activities and animal viewing are available during this extended program.
If you can only explore the Zoo on your own, complete self-guided activities during your visit that will help your Scouts earn achievements or badges. Every day is a new day at the Zoo, so there is always something different to see!
All of these activities are for scouts and their adult leaders together.

• Special events throughout the year, such as ZooBoo, Go Wild Weekend, Migration Celebration or many more!
