Princess and Pirates Day: A Benefit for Wildlife Conservation
Princess and Pirates Day: A Benefit for Frog and Sea Turtle Conservation
What would a princess be with out a frog? What would a frog be without a princess? What would a pirate be without his seven seas and the sea turtles that live among them? Princesses and Pirates will come together for frog and sea turtle conservation at the Houston Zoo’s new Princess and Pirates Day: A Benefit for Wildlife Conservation on Saturday, May 7, 2011 from 10:30 a.m. to Noon.
Calling all Pirates! You too can join in the fun as you sail the seas learning about sea turtles.
Meet some real frogs (endangered Houston toads, actually) and the keepers who care for them. Princesses and Pirates can enjoy finger sandwiches, cookies, cupcakes and punch and have their picture taken with the Zoo’s turtle mascot . So batten your hatches, and your princess dresses for a fun filled morning event.
For the Princesses it’s B.Y.O.T. (Bring Your Own Tiara). Costumes are encouraged. Frog kissing is optional.
For the Pirates it’s all about swashbuckling and eye patches Matey! Costumes are encouraged.
