Being charitable is a whole lot easier when chocolate is involved! This April is Fondue for the Zoo month at The Melting Pot of Houston. Enjoy a four-course fondue dinner for only $35, and the Melting Pot of Houston will give $5 to The Houston Zoo’s Action for Apes campaign to help gorillas and chimps in the wild! Please mention Fondue for the Zoo menu when making reservation.

Discover the classroom right outside your doors! This workshop encourages educators to move their classrooms outdoors to investigate the natural world with engaging activities. Tactics and techniques for all grade levels will be offered. Registration includes admission to the Zoo, lunch, giveaways, and so much more! Earn 6 credit hours.

Enjoy the wild outdoors with your infant or toddler with Wild Wheels. Individuals and parent groups welcome! Our Spring season of Wild Wheels will definitely bring on the color. Learn about some new animals while working on your baby’s color recognition.Wild Wheels - for Infants and Toddlers
Our elephants, chimpanzees, meerkats, and even the colony of bats in Natural Encounters are receiving their own egg-themed enrichment throughout the day. Visit them at their habitats in the Houston Zoo and see them hunt, eat, and play with eggs of all sizes! We’ll also have plenty of fun and games for you and your family to participate in.
This event is included with your paid zoo admission and is free for Zoo members!

This beginner level class is open to children ages 4-10 and their parents. Come along on the journey of Zoo Yoga as we discover new animals and investigate unique adaptations! We will discover how you can make a difference both locally and world-wide.
Stay overnight at the Houston Zoo and have a fun-filled and totally unique after-hours adventure! Grab your flashlight and walk with us through the dark pathways to spy nocturnal zoo denizens and other zoo animals out for an evening prowl in their habitats. Enjoy a pizza dinner and curl up in your sleeping bag in the climate-controlled comfort of our education center. Then wake for a continental breakfast, morning zoo tour and a touchable animal experience!

It will be a wild morning when you start your day with the Sea Lions. You will have the opportunity to mingle with and learn from our wonderful Sea Lion Trainers, see special behaviors, unique animal enrichment, and get fantastic photo opportunities. All this while you enjoy a hot breakfast buffet.
Many nations throughout the world celebrate “Día de los Niños,” or Children’s Day, to honor and celebrate children which represent the hopes and dreams of every community. Here at the Houston Zoo we will be joining in the celebration on April 27 with games, activities and music just for kids!
