Grand Opening Of Redesigned Jaguar Exhibit

The Houston Zoo's jaguar exhibit has undergone some incredible renovations in the past few months.

Kam Balam and Cocoy, our two jaguars, now have more space, a new waterfall, and a new pool thanks to these upgrades. Jaguars are great swimmers - so they'll enjoy the new water-play aspects of their exhibit.

Guests now have a much clearer viewing area. Previously, guests had to look through glass panels, but now the exhibit is fenced with easy-to-see-through mesh wiring, similar to the small cats exhibit we upgraded last year.

Not only will this exhibit improve guests visits each time to the Zoo, but it is available as an area to rent out for special events and private parties.

Caring for our beasts is never a burden, but it is expensive!
