Horticulture Tour

Gates open at 7:30 a.m.; tour begins at 8 a.m.

The Houston Zoo is home to over 6,000 animals, but did you know that it also has a vast variety of plants? The Zoo has many exotic, tropical, and native plants, trees, and flowers from various countries and continents, making it the perfect place to relax and to enjoy the scenery.

Join Joe Williams, Manager of Horticulture at the Houston Zoo, as he leads an intimate stroll across Zoo grounds, highlighting the many species of plant life flourishing in our 55 acres and outlining details, history, and maintenance requirements of the Zoo’s variety of flora.

Two Hour Guided Tour with the Zoo’s Horticulture Manager.

A continental breakfast and all-day access to the Zoo are included.
