Zoo Closing Early Today

Spotlight on Species: Local Snakes

10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Reptile House

Join us and find out all about local Houston-area snakes. Get a safe, up close look at local snakes in tanks we’ll bring out just for this event. Myths and misconceptions abound when it comes to snakes, so come and learn the truth about them. What should you do if you find a snake in your yard, or in the wild? How are snakes an important part of our environment? Experts will be on hand to answer all of your questions!

This event is free with your paid zoo admission and is free for Zoo Members.

Animal Egg Hunt

Join us as our animals participate in their very own Animal Egg Hunt! Our gorillas, meerkats, and even the elephants are receiving their own egg-themed enrichment throughout the day. Visit them at their habitats in the Houston Zoo and see them hunt, eat, and play with eggs of all sizes!

This event is included with your paid Zoo admission and is free for Zoo Members.

I love the zoo...have been a member for over 10 years but if the lack of parking and traffic jam around the zoo is ridiculous. Please find a solution or loose a member. It's not fair that those supporting the zoo have to deal with that.

Will be coming from Joplin, grew up in Houston and the zoo was our favorite place to go.

Did you know: theirs approximately 3,000 tigers left in the wild😞

GO NIKKI!
