New @ The Zoo
Meet The Animals
The Houston Zoo will close early on Christmas eve (last entry 2 p.m., close at 3 p.m.) and will be closed on Christmas Day.
A few buildings will be closed on various nights starting at 4:00 p.m. for holiday parties. Check the TXU Energy Presents Zoo Lights webpage for the complete list.
Make a splash at Cool Nights this Friday as we celebrate “Wild About Water!” This week kids can go fishing, play bean bag toss and learn about the importance of marine conservation. Don’t forget your swimsuit because THIS FRIDAY ONLY the Kathrine McGovern Water Play Park will be open for extended hours, until 7:30!
Guests can also sing and dance along with Tom’s Fun Band and enjoy an exciting ice-sculpting performance by Reverend Butter. Want to learn more about the chimpanzees and a few of our aquatic animals? Join us for special Meet the Keeper Talks at the chimpanzees at 6 p.m. and the Kipp Aquarium at 6:30 p.m.
As always, all Cool Nights activities begin at 5 p.m. and are included in your Zoo admission and FREE for Zoo Members.
