Wednesday, September 17, Kipp Aquarium will close early at 4:30 for a private event.

Saturday, September 20, Twiga Cafe will close early at 5:00 for a private event.

Fondue for the Zoo! At the Melting Pot Houston

Being charitable is a whole lot easier when chocolate is involved! This April is Fondue for the Zoo month at The Melting Pot of Houston. Enjoy a four-course fondue dinner for only $35, and the Melting Pot of Houston will give $5 to The Houston Zoo’s Action for Apes campaign to help gorillas and chimps in the wild! Please mention Fondue for the Zoo menu when making reservation.

Wild Winks - Spend the Night at the Zoo

Stay overnight at the Houston Zoo and have a fun-filled and totally unique after-hours adventure! Grab your flashlight and walk with us through the dark pathways to spy nocturnal zoo denizens and other zoo animals out for an evening prowl in their habitats. Enjoy a pizza dinner and curl up in your sleeping bag in the climate-controlled comfort of our education center. Then wake for a continental breakfast, morning zoo tour and a touchable animal experience!

Breakfast with the Sea Lions - A Members Only Event

It will be a wild morning when you start your day with the Sea Lions. You will have the opportunity to mingle with and learn from our wonderful Sea Lion Trainers, see special behaviors, unique animal enrichment, and get fantastic photo opportunities. All this while you enjoy a hot breakfast buffet.

Dia Del Niño

Many nations throughout the world celebrate “Día del Niño,” or Children’s Day, to honor and celebrate children which represent the hopes and dreams of every community. Here at the Houston Zoo we will be joining in the celebration on April 27 with games, activities and music just for kids!
Activities Include:
Games at the reflection pool including Pin the Tail on the Donkey
Dance to the music of our DJ!
Learn the Spanish names of some Houston Zoo animals
Special Meet the Keeper Talks highlighting Latin American animals at the Houston Zoo
This event is included with your paid admission and is free for Houston Zoo Members!
