Did you know there are more than 6,400 species of frogs and toads? And that you can help them by using recycled paper products? Learn even more about frogs, toads, caecilians, salamanders and newts today!

This Spotlight on Species event is highlighting amphibians. Enjoy family fun activities, plus learn all about these amazing animals and how to help save them in the wild.

This free event is included in your paid Zoo admission, and is FREE for Zoo members.

Enjoy a special presentation about the Houston Zoo’s efforts to protect marine habitat by two of our own experts at the Zoo:

Enchantment Under the Sea

6:30 – 9:30 p.m.

Experience an enchanting evening unlike ever before at the Houston Zoo. An indulgent 3-course meal, featuring delectable ocean-friendly seafood, will be served in the unique, intimate setting of the Carruth Natural Encounters building. Meet the keepers who work with our aquatic animals and learn how the Zoo works to protect these animals, as well as what you, too, can do to help protect animals in the ocean.
