New @ The Zoo
Meet The Animals
Grizzly bears are off exhibit this week, through April 20.
The Water Play Park is now open for the season! It is open daily when the ambient temperature is above 70 degrees.
Gorillas are coming back to the Zoo in 2015. Please pardon our mess in the African Forest as we prepare for their arrival.
Did you know more than three out of four flowering plants and nearly three-quarters of all crops are pollinated by animals? Without pollinators, we would miss many of our favorite foods such as blueberries, almonds, chocolate and coffee!
Learn this and more at Pollinator Palooza. Visit the Zoo for a special ladybug release, music, kid-friendly activities, and themed keeper talks! This event is included in your Zoo admission and is FREE for members.
Pollinator Palooza is sponsored by Fiesta and United Airlines – the official airline of the Houston Zoo.
