The Zoo is a remarkable resource for helping Scouts of all ages earn badges and achievements. Workshops are available for both Boy and Girl Scouts. Thru these programs the scouts will learn about plants, endangered animals, habitats, water quality, eco-systems, the importance of recycling and much more. These fun, interactive programs provide scout troops with an in-Zoo adventure that meets most of the needs of a scouting badge/ achievement. Some requirements must be done on your own.
Workshops are for scouts and their adult leaders or chaperones. Tagalongs and siblings are not permitted to the program
Cost $15 per scout, 2 hour badge workshop, $9.00 per chaperone
$20 per scout for 3 hour merit badge workshop, $9.00 per chaperone
$30 per scout for 6 hour merit badge workshop, $9.00 per chaperone
Attendance is Free for Adult Zoo Members.
Limit to 45 people per workshop
NOTE: For the 6 hour merit badge programs a 30 minute meal break will be given. Scouts should bring a sack lunch.

Cancellation Policy
Patrons who provide a written notice of cancellation to the Group Sales Dept. (1513 N. MacGregor, Houston, TX 77030) on or before 6 weeks (42 days) prior to the program date will receive a full refund. No refund will be issued after this date.
Program and date changes must be made at least 3 weeks (21 days) prior to the program date and are subject to availability.
The Houston Zoo reserves the right to cancel any program due to minimum enrollment, inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances, in which case a full refund will be issued. Cancellations are official upon receipt of confirmation from the Houston Zoo. The Houston Zoo charges a $30 fee for all returned checks.
