Through the generosity of Target®, the Houston Zoo is offering scholarships for free programming to qualifying Title I schools in the Houston area. The scholarship includes a class in the Houston Zoo’s Brown Education Center. Schools can choose from our popular Assembly Program or our Adventure Classes.
To be considered for the scholarship, teachers must send in a completed application. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Spaces are not guaranteed until you receive a notification by email that you have been selected to receive the Target Title I Scholarship.
Please send the completed application to firstname.lastname@example.org or fax them to 713-533-6783. All applications must be turned in by Friday, February 14, 2014. All field trips and education programs must be held by Friday, March 7, 2014.

3. You will receive a Confirmation Form with the date of your field trip and the time of your education programs.

Check your email for a Field Trip Registration Form. Complete your Field Trip Registration Form and submit it at least three weeks before your anticipated program date. All field trips and education programs must be held by Friday, March 7, 2014.
Who needs an admission ticket to the Houston Zoo?
Everyone. You will receive 1 free chaperone admission ticket per 10 children for children grades K – 12 and 1 free chaperone admission ticket per 5 children for PreK students. If you have additional chaperones or parents, they will need to purchase tickets either in advance for $11 (please include on your registration form) or at the main gate for $14.
Who needs a ticket to attend the education program?
Everyone. Please reference your Confirmation Form for the exact number of program tickets you will receive. You will receive your Confirmation Form after you have submitted your Field Trip Registration Form.
What if I need more tickets for my education program?
Additional tickets may be purchased on the day of your program. Adventure Classes are $4 per individual and Assembly Programs are $2 per individual.
How many people can attend the education program?
Adventure Classes can hold 33 individuals, this includes adults and students. You can receive up to 4 free Adventure Classes with the scholarship. Assembly Programs can hold 297 individuals.
