New @ The Zoo
Meet The Animals
Houston weather is hot, but the Houston Zoo is cool. Even in the heat you can head to the Zoo for a relaxing day filled with fun, education, and amazing animals.
Back by popular demand, Snow Day is returning to the Zoo on Saturday, July 26 thanks to Sunny 99.1 and TXU Energy Presents Chill Out at the Houston Zoo! Guests can enjoy this winter wonder from 9 a.m. until noon (or until the Texas heat melts it away).
We will have two snow fields; a smaller field for the little ones and a larger field for the bigger kids, so this event is fun for the entire family. Kids of all ages can create their own snowman, make a snow angel or simply enjoy the cold snow on a hot summer’s day.
All Snow Day activities are included in your Zoo admission and FREE for Members.
Our animals enjoy Chill Out-themed enrichment activities that keep them happy and cooled off. From ice-pops for our bears, to daily baths for our elephants, our animals will be enjoying Chill Out enrichment all week long.
Be sure to check the Daily Update on the Plan Your Day Kiosk when you arrive at the Zoo for a complete list of the day’s chilly happenings.
