Mosquito Magnet

Mosquitos are naturally attracted to standing water, which is commonly found in items like old tires. When the tire is filled with water, they come in and lay their eggs. Houston Zoo Keepers drain the water twice each week, remove the larvae, and feed it to insects in the Bug House. The water is then re-used to attract other mosquitos.
